This package is designed to automate the weighing and identification of seafood products however it can be modified to suit any industry sector.
Client Brief : To supply a hardware/software solution which reduces the possibility of inaccuarcies in the processing of seafood as well as providing statistical analysis of the catch and automation of the paperwork/processing required for export.
Our Solution : We supplied a label printer, barcode scanner, RS232 interface and terminal as well as software to automatically transmit, via WiFi, the stable state weight from a set of electronic scales. Weights range from 20kg up to and in excess of 100kg. The fish is placed on the scale system and when the weight is stable the data is sent via a terminal to the central processing computer. The weight(s) are automatically populated in the software which then generates a label for application to the packaging. All the received data is stored in a database which then allows the users to generate reports showing summaries by boat, type of fish, destination as well as generating the paperwork required for export. Additional reports can be added at any time.
