Client Brief : Our client is a label manufacturer producing high volumes of blank labels and full colour printed labels. Our brief was to provide a job tracking system that would give support staff an accurate indication of where individual jobs were located. The manufacturing process included up to 16 individual steps. The system was also to give a visual indication of the jobs progress by highlighting (in colour) if the job would not meet the completion deadline.
Our Solution : We supplied barcode scanners and software which tracked each job through the individual processes. As a job moved to each new process it was scanned into the system and the system was updated both physically and visually. Different colours applied to each job indicated where the job was relative to the scheduled completion date.
