SolarTrack software
This package is designed to automate the management and tracking of solar panels on solar farms.
Client Brief : To supply a hardware/software solution to track solar panel serial numbers during the construction of solar farms. Our client needed to track the installation of more than 260,000 solar panels by their manufacturers barcode number. The software needed to create an Excel spreadsheet for each row of solar panels.
Our Solution : We supplied a label printer, 10 portable PC scanners, special labels and software. The software pre-creates the spreadsheets as a security measure. Once all the solar panels have been installed the portable PCs are used to scan the panel barcodes which are then loaded into the PC database. The software then is used to create the completed spreadsheets listing the serial number of each panel in each row.
 The scanner chosen for this application was Cipherlab 8600 which is a ruggedised scanner suitable for the harsh environment in which it would be used. |  The labels are made from a special material which will not fade or come off even when exposed to the harsh Australian sun. | The printer chosen for this project was the Argox X-1000VL.
