Weighbridge Management Software
This package is designed to automate the management and tracking of deliveries of Macadamia nuts within a factory environment. It could be adapted to any other environment as required.
Client Brief : To supply a hardware/software solution which manages and reports and records the movement of macadamia nuts within a factory environment. The scope actually required three separate installations over two sites.
Our Solution : We supplied several label printers, Windows tablets, interfacing devices and software which automatically recorded product deliveries and provided a receipt for the supplier as well as updating a production database with total product processed. The first package recorded incoming shipments of product via a weighing station with capacity of up to 30 tonnes and generated receipts for the factory and grower. The weight data is recorded into a database for secondary processing and reporting. The second software package tracked packaged product when packed into 20kg or 25kg bags which were loaded onto pallets for export. The third component tracked incoming vehicles via a weighbridge installation.The software incorporated a feature to monitor whether the vehicle driver was onboard at weighing time. If so the operator was given a visual indication to ensure that the driver was also in the vehicle at egress as this could affect the delivery weight by 100kg or more.
